Platform overview

The Kalawer operating model for governed quant decisions.

Kalawer is designed as a decision-support workflow for institutional investment teams. The target Production MVP centres on the Strategy Passport: a single, defensible record of how a quant hypothesis becomes an approved strategy.

Capabilities in the target Production MVP

Delivered progressively during the paid design-partner pilot. The authenticated Production application is not yet publicly shipped.

Strategy Passport
A single institutional record for each strategy — hypothesis, evidence, findings, risk limits, approvals, and audit history in one place.
Role-based collaboration
Researcher, validator, risk manager, CIO, and auditor each act inside a scope defined by role and organization.
Structural segregation of duties
The author of a strategy cannot validate it. This is enforced by the workflow, not by policy alone.
Explicit risk fields
Limits, exposure boundaries, and known failure modes are first-class inputs — not buried commentary.
Attributed approvals
Every promotion decision carries a named human, a moment, and a rationale — recorded as an immutable event.
Append-only history
A validator or internal auditor can reconstruct the full trajectory of a strategy from raw evidence to committee decision.

Paid design-partner pilot scope

The Design Partner Pilot is a paid 8–12 week engagement with a single team or desk and up to three strategies. It focuses on validation and governance rather than execution.

Registry, evidence import, validation, risk fields, approvals, Passport, and audit history are configured to match your existing segregation of duties as an explicit deliverable of the pilot — not shipped features of the currently public application.

Out of pilot scope

  • • Order routing or execution to trading venues.
  • • Investment advice, recommendations, or regulated services.
  • • Custody of assets or client money.
  • • AI decisions without an attributed human approval.
